Cucumber ‘Passandra’ – 3 Grafted Plants – May Despatch
Ideal for greenhouse growing
- Produces only female flowers
- Heavy harvests of long smooth-skinned fruits
- Train up a trellis or support
Cucumber ‘Passandra’ is great for greenhouse growing, producing heavy harvests of long, smooth-skinned fruits that are both juicy and delicious. It’s an all-female variety, so there’s no need to remove male flowers to stop pollinated fruit developing seeds, which give the fruit a bitter flavour. Cucumber ‘Passandra’ will climb up a trellis or support framework, giving you plenty of space for other plants in the greenhouse.

Planting tips and hints:
Before planting cucumbers outdoors, harden the plants off for a fortnight by placing them outside in their pots during the day and moving them back indoors overnight. Plant outdoors in a sheltered sunny spot once all risk of frost is past. Provide supports for the plants to climb up.
Feeding and aftercare:
Water regularly and feed weekly with a high-potassium liquid feed once flowers appear. Pinch out the growing tip once the plant reaches the top of its support, and pinch out the growing tips of side shoots after fruits form, leaving two leaves above the fruit. Harvest regularly to encourage more fruits.
