Pear Williams Bon Chretien – Bare Root Tree
Pear Williams Bon Chretien, or more commonly known as ‘Williams’ produces superb yellow pears. It is a very early fruiting variety, the fruits are large and yellow with an excellent sweet and juicy flavour.
This delicious British bred pear is excellent for poaching and also for preserving, it is also very tasty eaten fresh from the tree from mid to late September.
This variety is partially self-fertile and it makes the ideal planting partner for other pear varieties in order to aid pollination and also increase the yield.
If you have room for just one tree then you should make sure there is another tree that is a suitable pollinator in a 2 mile radius.
