Sow indoors
February-April: Sow individually 1ā2cm (1ā4in) deep in clean module trays of firm pre-watered compost. Cover with a fine layer of vermiculite. Place in constant warmth 18Ā°C (65Ā°F) and keep soil moist at all times. Slowly reducing the heat to 14Ā°C (57Ā°F) and increasing ventilation after germination to keep plants from getting leggy. Prick out when large enough to handle individually into 9cm (3 1ā2in) pots filled with good quality compost.
Plant out
May-June: Plant out into individual pots or growing bags at a minimum of 15Ā°C (60Ā°F).
Tips
TIP ā Water regularly and feed weekly with a liquid fertiliser once fruits start to swell.
